Arlington Scale is a proud supporter and active participant in the New Jersey Plane Pull, an annual event that raises critical funds for Special Olympics New Jersey.

This high-energy competition brings together teams from across the region to test their strength by pulling a 100,000-pound airplane across the tarmac—all for a great cause.

Our team is honored to contribute to this incredible event year after year. Not only do we attend and participate, but we also stand behind the mission of inclusion, empowerment, and community that the Plane Pull represents.

About the New Jersey Plane Pull

Hosted by Special Olympics New Jersey, the NJ Plane Pull challenges teams of 20 to compete in pulling an aircraft as fast as possible. Funds raised directly support year-round sports training and athletic competitions for thousands of Special Olympics athletes.

Awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in several categories, including Fastest Pull, where up to 20 people move the aircraft 12 feet in the least amount of time; Lowest Combined Weight Pull, where the aircraft is moved 12 feet with the lowest combined team weight within a two-minute limit; Highest Fundraising Team Total, based on the top three teams’ total funds raised by check-in; and Highest Individual Fundraisers Total, recognizing the top three individuals by funds raised at check-in. To compete, teams must raise a minimum of $1,200, with additional fundraising incentives available. The money raised supports Special Olympics New Jersey, which provides year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health screenings to thousands of athletes—all completely free. Fundraising events like the Plane Pull make this possible, with donations directly impacting athletes: $25 covers the cost of 10 medals, $50 supports one athlete’s participation in Fall Games, and $100 provides a Young Athlete play-at-home kit.
